Adam Care is VP & Head of Portfolio Development for the HSB Funds.  In this capacity, he supports the development of portfolio companies and maximizes the strategic value for HSB and Munich Re.  Adam has worked at Hartford Steam Boiler for over ten years in a variety of innovation and business development roles.  Adam received a B.A. with honors in Political Science from Haverford College. He resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and two daughters.

John Jackovin is Executive Director of the BrokerTech Ventures Accelerator, the first and largest broker-led insurtech ecosystem in the country. Based in the Des Moines, Iowa area, John has spent his career at the intersection of entrepreneurship and technology, founding startups, leading product teams, and building bridges between the people who move industries forward. With over six years at BTV, he connects insurtech startups with brokers, carriers, and wholesalers who help them scale. A University of Iowa Tippie College of Business alum, John brings a builder’s mindset and contagious energy to everything he does.

Darren Bloomfield is a graduate of Butler University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance and Finance. As a former underwriter turned SaaS professional,  Darren is passionate about modernizing the insurance industry. As an Account Executive at Cogitate, a core systems software provider for insurance carriers and delegated authority MGAs, Darren now works at the intersection of insurance operations, technology, and go-to-market strategy. In Streamlining Insurance, Darren explores how insurance leaders are building the future of operations, distribution, and technology.
